The Ladies Section at Chorleywood is a very active division of the club and comprises just under 60 members, 36 of whom play regularly each Tuesday. There is a small Business Ladies Section which plays at the weekend, which the ladies would like to encourage.
There is a competition each Tuesday with a variety of formats. As the oldest club in Hertfordshire, there are obviously many trophies which have been donated over the years and these are played for both in strokeplay and Stableford rounds of golf - sometimes these are played over two weeks, thus making a 36 hole competition. There are of course fun competitions interspersed with the more serious competitions!
The section plays in the prestigious Pearson Trophy Competition which is held through the winter months and is played for by clubs in the south east of England. There are also friendly matches played against many of the local clubs both in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire so there are plenty of opportunities to play at other clubs in the vicinity.
There is also a very active bridge section which runs an in-house league during the winter months as well as two very popular charity bridge drives.
