CLUB RULES

Rules of the Game
1. The Rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of Saint Andrews as they may from time to time be fixed shall be the Rules of the Club with such modifications and local rules as the Directors may consider necessary.

Membership
2. See Articles 6 and 7 of the Company's Articles of Association

Number of Members
3. The Club shall consist of such number of members as shall from time to time be decided under the terms of the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company. Amateur golfers only are eligible for player membership in any class.

Visiting Guests
4. (a) A member may introduce guests to the Clubhouse, but must ensure that they are entered in the Guests Book in the Entrance Hall on every occasion.
(b) A member may introduce guests to the course on payment of a reduced green fee to be fixed from time to time by the Directors but a member shall not introduce the same guest more than six times in any year unless that guest has a current application for membership on file. The guest's name and address and the name of the introducer shall be entered into the Green fee Book and payment made to the Steward prior to play. Any such guest, provided he or she is over 18 years of age, may order and pay for any drink or refreshment in the Clubhouse.
(c) Lettings - shall be at the discretion of the committee.

Children
5. No person under the age of FOURTEEN shall be allowed in the main bar unless accompanied by an adult. Where a room in the clubhouse has been hired out for private use, there shall be no age limit imposed but all persons under 18 should be supervised.

Dogs
6. No dogs belonging to members or visitors shall be allowed in the Bar or Dining Room.

Complaints
7. All complaints shall be made in writing to the Secretary who if he shall be unable to deal with them himself shall submit them to the Directors whose decision shall be final. In no instance shall a servant of the Club be reprimanded directly by a member.

Club Property
8. No member shall take away or permit to be taken away from the Clubhouse under any pretence whatever or shall injure or destroy any newspaper, pamphlet, book, or other article the property of the Club.

Notice Board
9. No paper, notice, or placard written or printed shall be exhibited on the Notice Board or placed in the Clubhouse without the sanction of the Secretary.

Opening Times
10. The Club premises shall be open to the members of the Club during such hours as may be determined from time to time by the Directors and exhibited on the Club Notice Board. The Club House shall be closed and there shall be no play on Good Friday or Christmas Day or at such other times as may be decided by the Directors.

Licensing Hours
11. The permitted hours for the supply of intoxicants shall be such as may from time to time be fixed by the Directors in accordance with the provisions of the prevailing Licensing Act The Bar will be closed and there shall be no sale of intoxicating liquor on Good Friday or Christmas Day.

Settlement of Accounts
12. Members must pay all expenses they incur on their own behalf or for visitors in the Clubhouse within such period as may be determined from time to time by the Directors.

Addresses of Members
13. Every member shall from time to time communicate to the Secretary his address or that of his Bank or Agent. Such address shall be inserted in the Register of Members and all notices sent by post to such address shall be deemed to have been duly delivered on the day following the date of posting.

Dress Code
14. All members, guests, and visitors shall at all times adhere to those codes of dress both on the Course and in the Clubhouse which may from time to time be decided by the Board and posted on the Club Notice Board.

Members Bound by Byelaws
15. Every member shall be bound by and submit to the Byelaws of the Club.

Alteration of Byelaws
16. See Article 48 of the Company's Articles of Association

Articles of Association
A current copy of the Articles of Association is available for inspection in the Club House

These Bye-Laws last amended on 30th August 2006.
